I am the executive director of the Kindersite Project. We have had
feedback and some actual experience of children with forms of Autism
benefiting from using the Kindersite (http://www.kindersite.org).
The mission of the Kindersite Project is to understand how, or even IF,
computers and technology should be introduced as a tool of education. The
Kindersite is a free resource for all with 1,000s of links to quality,
graded content suitable for young children.
We are now approaching Autism groups and families globally, to ask them to
try the Kindersite with children and give us general feedback on the
results. There is no charge, of course.
We hope that by gaining such feedback we can construct a research proposal
to gain a realistic understanding of how and if the use of particular online
content can be useful in the Autistic field.
There is a lot of information on the website about the project, some of
which is in 12 languages, but if this does not cover all your questions
please feel free to ask me anything.
With many grateful thanks for any help you can give to the project.
